This image represents only a very small portion of my HSC Body of Work. I love the contrast between the simplicity of the mountains and the intensely detailed ox. The dense patterning contained by a strong silhouette not only allows the ox to become a focal point but also says a lot about myself. On the outside I might be reserved but internally I overthink and can become easily frazzled.
The graduated curves and dynamic shape of Heyday Aliyev Culture Centre by Zaha Hadid is fascinating to me. Not one right angle is used in its architectural form, something that I wouldn't have thought would look so elegant. The space-station, futuristic like building is what I feel architecture will slowly evolve into.
I captured this picture two years ago in Hong Kong representing the one moment of tranquility amongst the busy nightlife. It reminds me of christmas and family. Every year during christmas break we travel to places we haven't been to before and spend quality time with each other. The christmas lights dangling off the top of the tower illuminate the building in a way that almost seems celestial. Not captured are the numerous number of people out and about in Hong Kong and also the carpet of fairy lights surrounding the angelic tower.
